of yacht design.
HYDROMAR
vertical windlasses are fabricated in polished stainless steel, with bearings
of maintenance free composites.
The windlass has a mounting flange bolted from the underside of deck ensuring
a clean and uncluttered fore deck.
The standard windlass is available in a range from 2,5 to 8 tons dynamic
pulling force.
All windlasses can be delivered with or without a separate whipping drum
for handling lines while mooring or manoeuvring.
The chain gypsy has a clutch connection allowing the whipping drum to be operated independently. All our windlasses are equipped with planetary reduction gears. A hydraulic brake situated between motor and reduction gear can hold 1,5 times the dynamic pulling force. In addition there is a mechanical brake, which can be operated with the same control handle as the gypsy clutch.
An
alternative version has been developed for under deck installation.
The windlass includes a spacer raising the whipping drum above deck,
with the chain gypsy and the anchor chain below. This ensures a deck
free from mud and contamination when heaving anchor.
Provision for anchor chain link counters can be made as an option. We
can of course deliver all accessories for your anchor handling requirements.
